A new downloadable Ladder Safety app is intended to cut down on the number of work accidents in Kentucky and nationally.
Falls are a persistent hazard in all types of job settings. A fall can occur during the simple act of walking or climbing stairs.
Many accidents happen because ladders are not positioned or used properly. Others occur because the ladder is defective.
A free Ladder Safety app for mobile devices can help.
The app, available from the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, features information and graphics on ladder selection, inspection, positioning, accessorizing and safe use.
